Knife & Fork @ The Granary, Wykham Park Farm
I am very excited to be able to tell you that we will be holding a debut Knife & Fork supper night at The Granary, Wykham Park Farm, Wykham Lane, Banbury on Friday 27th April.
As many guests will know, I have been using produce from the farm and supplied by the farm shop ever since I started Knife & Fork in June 2015. Wykham Park Farm shop has an excellent reputation for sourcing quality produce from local suppliers as well as rearing and growing their own such as beef, lamb, asparagus and much more. so I can’t wait to actually hold a Knife & Fork pop up at the farm using their produce.
The format will be very similar to dining at our home restaurant but with more diners; there will be a set menu made from seasonal and quality produce and you are invited to bring your own wine. Some sociable tables will be available, as well as tables that can be booked in the more conventional way. It’s going to be great fun.
Our success has largely grown from word of mouth, which is just amazing and we are so grateful to all of our customers. But, it has also caused a bit of a problem as our dining room can only seat 16 guests and we often have to turn people away as we are fully booked. We don’t like doing this as we have so many returning diners who can’t get seats to join us for dinner, because they have been so supportive and introduced friends and family to us. Some do ‘joke’ that they are not telling anyone else about us any more!
So, fingers crossed, with a slightly different format we can create as much of a buzz in The Granary as the fun atmosphere created at home and also seat many of our regulars as well as new faces who have never managed to book. Also, we know our sociable tables are off putting to some, so now is your chance to come and experience a Knife & Fork evening.
So, if you fancy joining us for supper in The Granary at Wykham Park Farm Shop please do book and we will look forward to seeing you at our debut event.
In brief: Please arrive for 7.30pm
Complimentary nibbles will be served at your table on arrival.
Supper will be served at 8pm.
Supper will be three larger courses rather than the five smaller courses we serve at home – don’t worry, you won’t leave hungry!
Bring your own wine. We supply chilled filtered water Complimentary coffee/tea and sweet treats will be served at the end of the meal.
We close at 11pm. Please pre-book taxis for collection at 11pm or before, if you prefer.
Choose to book a sociable table or a table for two or four (first come first served basis). Larger tables of 6, 8 and 12 can be booked as a private table or as a sociable table – please book your seats as required.
As always the whole menu will be gluten free and I am happy to adjust the menu for other dietary requirements. Just as at home, I cannot adjust the menu to a long list of what an individual won’t eat or even worse, a short list of what they will eat! If there is something you really can’t bear please do let me know and I will do my best to accommodate you, but the whole nature of the pop up restaurant experience is that it is for the slightly more adventurous.
